:spew:Hello all!! Ive got some plants here that have some definate curling issues, Id like to make sure that this isnt a huge deal and was hoping for some re-assurance and suggestions sooner than later:)
I did some searches on this issue but would like someone to see the pics just to verify that it is or isnt a problem.

looks like they are overwatered to me. get them some better circulation and dont water for a week. how often do you water them? do you spray the leaves down with water?
 
naw I havent been spraying them cuz they got burned when I did, and Im feeding them about every day and a half. What do you mean by better circulation??

too much water & let your water sit for a 1 or 2 before you feed them,,your PH is off. water every 3/4 days...not too offen, overwatering is a problem..
 
air circulation. when you turn the lights off spray them real quick once a week so the plants can get rid of some of the toxins. water once a week, or just check when the soil is dry, like two inches down. dont overlove them
 
hmm, good to know, I was only watering when the soil feels dry (I thought), it does get pretty hot in that room though, spikes @ 90 and sits @ high 80's (aprox) I do have a small fan going 24/7 on the plants.
I also will start spraying them during dark.
I wasnt quite sure about my ph, the only tester I have is ph strips (like for hottubs) and they are reading about 7.6 (aprox) maybe I should invest in a couple meters, moisture, ph...

hey man....looking like the prob is persisting eh? its funny cuz the leaves otherwise are firm and green and appear healthy....just the curling thing right? there is a general sense that it is easy to overwater.....but if you 're checking by feel (weight of the pot or your finger) I expect you know if the soil is getting too waterlooged. The pH might be an issue.....even in soil it should not be above 7...preferably lower. 6.5 or soething....your pH measure is that the soil or the water gtoing in or the water coing out the bottom....just trying to understand better?
 
well its just a hot tub water test strip so I dont know how accurate those things are but Ill have to get something that works!! Im also gunna lay off the watering too for bit to see how that goes..

If you decide it is over watering I would 'dry them out' a little. Wait until you are pretty sure they have little moisture then maybe 'flush' them.

Keep track of your watering schedule, amount, day, time and amount of runoff (this is good for deciding how much to water next time looking for 10% or so being perfecto) and make adjustments accordingly.

That's if and only if it is over watering. You could mist them a little after the lights go out too.

Just my $.02.

how can I be certain that its over-watering??? they seem to get dry and droopy withen two days of no water... But that is a good idea about the flush, I think I will letem dry out a bunch then flush em'.
Will that help if there is too much (n)?
Also maybe too high PH I'll need to get some PH reducer.

your problem is over fertilization, specifically... too much nitrogen. taco-like leaves curling down is THE classic indicator, especially when the leaves are such a dark green. just use water untill you see the leaves reach for the light. the old growth wont recover to perfect condition but new growth will be fine.
 
hey user friendly, thanx alot, it seems as though they (stems) are also getting very soft and flimsy, even wilting a little!! A little nervous. I'll go get some pics and putem on.
 
:confused::confused::confused:oh, this doesnt seem good!! their lookin really flimsy!! Are they gonna die on me??? please tell me what I can do to save them! :confused:
