I am nearing the end and i have selected a few plants that didn't do well at all and have been taking forever. They have quite a bit up trichs on them but i just wanna use em for butter. Is there any reason i need to do the whole cure process or can i just go straight from dry to the crock pot?

Crockpot.....interesting idea in the past ive just melted butter in a pan at low heat and added buds. Can you give more details on your process or even a link or something to where you got that idea from. Thanks in advance

Never made the butter but do cook with some buds now and then. I would suggest that you use cured buds, why? During cure your buds go through their final phase of being all they can be. This is where the final chemical breakdowns occur, sugars and starches are converted and aroma is enhanced. Cooking is just like smoking in that if you wait on the cure your end product will be more potent, taste better and smell better.
Good Luck and Happy Growing

Actually... It doesn't matter in the slightest. You're going to have the same thc content if you cure them or not. He'll I've seen people go straight from harvest to the freezer with their trim, then make bubble hash with that fresh frozen trim with really good results with a less than 5 min stir. Ive seen people use that same fresh frozen trim with dry ice extraction. But personally i would go with a good long dry then straight to making your butter.

thanks for the inputs guys. and for the crockpot it's just the same concept of using a pan just a crock pot, butter on low heat and add lots of nuggies. Im only doing a crockpot because it'll be able to make alot
