Also if u built a bigger room would I be able to grow these under these kind of lights when they get bigger and what wattage would I need and how many lights roughly ? Sorry for all the questions , I'm only wanting to grow these 8 inches tall and than I will be flipping them over

Another two 18 Watt CFL’s would be ideal for sprouting seeds and enough to get them going strong for a couple weeks until you transplant them to bigger pots. I would recommend a better grow light for your main source. CFL’s will definitely grow great plants but you will want to use a good mix of red and blue spectrum bulbs for best results. If you plan on using CFL’s be ready to adjust the height of many bulbs around your plants pretty frequently so they stay 4-6 inches away from the leaves.

as long as you can put your hand under your light and not burn your skin than youre fine
get some real gardening pots. roots like dark environments a cut up mcdonalds coffee cup thats clear is not a good environment gardening pots cost about 30 cents.
if thats tin foil on your walls, just use flat white paint or mylar instead.

The closer the better with CFL's, they don't get hot so don't be worried about burnin the babies!
They do to get hot ....If they touch the leaves they will burn...I had a plant that came into contact with the light for less than 30 seconds and the leaf it touched wilted and turned brown...But I agree they need to be close, about 3 inches away

8 is so small :o my lil girls jumped to 34 inches today on day 9 of flowering. Your light looks good for now but will have to start moving it up within the next few weeks, the more light the better. Good luck bongsmilie

Top them when they get 6 inches tall then when the 2 new top stems get about 2 inches tall top them again ....you will have a 8 - 10 inch bushy little bastard

I just put another 4 2700kw lights in with the other one , will this do for time being until they get roughly 6 inches tall ? , its a lot brighter than what it looks in pics

I've got a single 125w cfl sitting pretty much on top of some clones and seedlings. Next week, they going under a 400w MH

I keep 23 watt CFL's about 1 or 2 inches away.....they won't burn the plant unless they touch.

And as sunni says....buy some 30 cent pots
