Just wanted to get a quick survey of how many think the drug war is justified, in part because apparently some people here think Marijuana should be illegal this makes me curious.

Maybe if people weren't such mindless consumers, the greedy would not have become powerful enough to have our government in their pocket.

Depends upon what you mean by "justified". A mom who lost her son to bath salts would say yes. A DEA agent who claims that he held his best friend's son as he died from a burst ballon of cocaine will claim it is, a senator who's constitutancy insists will say it is, an ecolgical warrior who claims that pot growers spew their "poisonous" effluent across the landscape will say it is.
