Is tge Phillips Agro-Lite BR-40 a good grow light for single plant grow?

I made a 2'x2'x3.5' grow box from a larg industrial toat. Its sealed with reflective tape all throughought, has a small whole drilled through the top for the light light and fan placed into the side (snug fit and sealed with reflective tape as well.. Its very simple setup but i think it'll be a good way to experiment and learn.

But can I germinate the seeds under the light? And how far from the light should they be placed I planned on using the damp paper towel method btw and outside isn't an option. Any help would be appreciated

Sorry about all the typos. Just got my strawberry kush seeds in the mail and I'm eager to get started lol.

I doubt it. Will be way too hot and bright. But who knows , Iv heard conflicting reports. If it's all you have you'll have to make do until something better. Should do a plant. Get good ventilation, an oscillating fan too. Read up before you buy, see how you go. If it's your first grow worry more about keeping them alive than the light, yields etc.

Like I said Iv read conflicting reports, google it and you'll see what people are saying about them. In reality you won't know unless you do it. Iv never used them. I think for germing itl work as long as it's not too hot or too close as iv used a house bulb before to do it , but as for actual veg and flowering who knows

Understood. So for one plant and the grow box size I mentioned do you have any any suggestions for a light, something cheap I can pick up at walmart or lowes perferably.
