I heard that you can top after the 4th node... it's what I did and it split in 2 nice n cleanly too... i just pinched the top of the new node, twisted it, and removed it.... two new growths started appearing before the end of the week... dnt know if I did it correctly or whatever but it worked great on my two plants.... good luck.... next grow i'm doing it at the 4th node, then on the 4th node after that... to get 4 thick stems... laterzzzz
If you cut below the node, it just means you topped it. If you still have 4-5 branch sets left, you are in good shape. You'll soon have 2 main tops. Here's a pic the day after I fimmed....I'll post another tomorrow to show the new growth. (I'm kinda new at fimming, so I hope I didn't miss.) Right now, it's pretty prominent, and looks good. I just loaned my camera to my girl for the night, so I'll have to wait to post more.
