Order a cheap Chinese one, mine is 30x and 60x

5x may be enough for you to see and maybe enough to get some magnified pics up, I can't see any more white hairs forming but am far from the expert on when to chop

Again thats up to you. Different highs out of Different maturities of trichomes.
Cloudy more awake high the more amber the more slowed down put a dent in the sofa type of shit.
I wait for 15% amber or so. Thats to ensure as many of the clear have turn cloudy as possible before my weed turns into ambien.
