The scope will tell you that.
The higher the dark trichome percentage, the more couch lock the stone.

You could get a headache from smoking premature bud. If you feellike you cant wait, then pinch a little bud off and dry it and smoke it.

Have you ever tried to light a pile of grass clippings on fire? It doesn't work so well.
Drying and curing also brings out flavors and smells that enhance your flowers.
Because the plant is about 75% water when it's alive and/or just harvested.
Get a scope and watch the trichs. I just watched my plants trichs develope over the last week. In one week they went from about 50/50 clear/cloudy to mostly cloudy with a bit of amber. If you truely want a "high, high" as you call it you may want to consider growing sativa strains.
Either way your plants are a couple of weeks away at a minimum. When she's done everything will be much darker.

Its not about hair color. Trichomes can change from clear to amber back to clear due to light degredation. Watch for when the orange / brown hairs recede into the calyx's and over the next day or 2 the calyx will swell 2 -3 times larger. There will always be white hairs shooting out especially with sativas. Pretty much when the orange / brown hairs mostly disappear they are done.
