Can i use my ppm/ph stick to measure the ppm/ph of an organic liquid fert, the same way i would with hydro. Or is there more to it?
and if i want to check the ph and ppm of the soil, i would have to run a solution of known ph and ppm through the soil, collect the run off and sample it with my ppm/ph stick right?

It's the same as you would with hydro. Your just mixing your nutes with water, and adjusting to the proper EC/ppm. Adjust the PH after mixing the nutes, and you know exactly what you feeding the plants.
When you sample the solution after running through the soil, your possibly getting a different ppm, since the plants are up taking some of the different nutes.
