Is More Spectrum better for veg growth

I have been running 8 26w 6500k cfls with little to no issues, but I decided more is better. Would it be better to run 6 26w 6500k lights and 2 42 w 2700ks to give the vegging plant a variety of spectrum or just leave it the way I had it?

Or in other words what will happen if you veg with a lot of 6500k and a little 2700k? and then just flower with 2700k only? I couldnt find 5000k 42w bulbs so I just got these for a hell of a deal ($4 for 2 42w 2700k bulbs)

i dont think theyll do any harm to a vegging plant but youll want emphasize the 2700s during flowering

Being that I cant keep well enough alone, I decided to go with the 8 26w 6500k, AND the 2 42w 2700k that way it just adds to what was working just fine, if there is any change I dont like I can just delete the 2700ks all together and save them for flowering in a month or so.

my girls really liked the 42 watt 2700k's. i'm not sure if it was because those bulbs had more lumens than the daylight bulbs or if it was due to the wavelength. but yes, mix them. i went 2:1 2700k:5600k from veg through flower.

I plan on flowering with 4 42 w 2700k 4 26w 2700s and 2 26w 6500k

I also have 2 24" 6500k FL tubes as side lights should be plenty of light for 3 plants and possibly a few clones
