Is it worth the risk??

hey everyone so I have a male quarantined in my bedroom away from my grow. My question is is it worth the risk keeping him to get seeds and pollen?

i wouldnt waste your time, buy some decent genetics and grow a few crops to completion imo

Maybe down the road , but i wouldnt be worrying about males and pollen at this point lol

Only you can quantify the risk. Since you are asking,I'm assuming you think there is something in his genetics you like?Keeping a male and collecting pollen isn't hard to do and the risks of stray pollination are minimal if you practice good habits. I'd do some reading on collecting and storing pollen. You have half the battle won by separating him. Good luck on your decision.

I tried very hard and successfully to not say anything.

Op,another major part of avoiding unwarranted pollination on your sensi crop is cleanliness,you,your clothing and anything else that comes into contact with that pollen BEFORE you go into your flowering area should be sanitized.Change clothes too.

Lol it was driving me crazy too. I panicked when I noticed it was a male and just threw it in. First thing I did after I chopped him was clean it lol. Anything left is stained

Ya he was just bagseed so the decision was easy. Ya it’s just a plastic container I painted white on the inside.

It’s pretty small. 9x13x20 so I’m probably just gonna use it to root clones.

I make seeds every grow. I keep my males in another room.

There is no risk.

Ya I’m a new grower so I’m going off instinct not experience. I know I could have got it to seed and pollen but with everything on my plate, I opted out of getting in to breeding (for now)

I suggest that you never "breed" unknown genetic's.......

Now inbreeding the line? I would buy into that.. Might just find it easier to locate that holy grail pheno....
