Is it weird if..??

There are mushrooms growing with my plant..?? just wanna know if they are "magic mushrooms".. or what to do with them..

Lol, i wouldn't eat them if i were you, But you shouldn't have light shining at the roots, cover that cup up :D.
 
I have had mushrooms before in my house plants and i think it is due to the soil. I don't think it is really good or bad but I prefer not to see mushrooms, it makes me think my roots are going to get rot/fungus. I actualy saw some in my old planter and it was part of the reason I decided to transplant. I've had people tell me mushrooms are a sign of healthy soil but it seems to me that it would be a sign of too much moisture. and no, they are not magic. don't eat them and don't let any pets near them.
 
Definitely don't eat them. Cover your roots from light.

My opinion is as medicalmaryjane's is. I prefer not to see them. And for the same reasons she stated. I just usually dig them out on the rare occasions I have found them.

EDIT: then let my soil tops dry out a little. They don't last long if all and I have seen no root rot in pots that have had them.
