is it too soon to determine sex with this plant

This plant came from a seed of what i thought to be some high quality sensimallia, I was able to successfully germinate and grow but I am concerned it will spoil the rest of my plants please advise

no chance that plant poses any risk to your other plants, ...it's still not mature enough and won't display sex until sometime after you start seeing alternating nodal growth, ...like this.

This is my first attempt I am pretty proud of my results so far, whats your opinion of the overall health based on what little you can see

it looks healthy from what i can see and it speaks well of your care that you were able to bring a single seed, your first seed crack even, to this level, ...i personally popped 30 my first time out of the box and managed to kill them all with my ineptitude, lol, so kudos for keepin' it alive this long.

i'd recommend you read as many threads as you can, the more you learn on your own the faster you will achieve your goals, ...nobody cares as much as you whether you succeed or not so do your homework, lol.

...if you need help finding worthwhile threads to read let me know and i'll share some links with you, ...i've been at this for 6 years now so i know where some excellent threads are to be found, ...on several topics as well so keep that in mind.

peace, bozo

Perhaps I am overthinking this, but like I had mentioned before I started 14 clones and lost 3 that failed to root and one suprise seed that i found in a sack of choice smoke, that I was successful in germinating and growing. Of the original eleven are all presenting alternating node charecterstics, t While the plant started from seed is showing non- alternating nodes what exactly is that indicating? Everything else seems to be doing well I recently successfully addressed a Mg deficiency, PH is running right between 6.1 to 5.6 any advice

...yeah man, alternating nodal growth is a signal that the plant is sexually mature, symetrical growth means it's sexually immature and not ready to display sex, ...as a rule of thumb it takes about 12 weeks from seed cracking for a marijuana plant to be sexually mature so be patient with your seedling.

btw, kudos for your successful cloning endeavor, not many succeed to that level right out of the gate like that.

Clones are the age of the plant they came from, even if they're small. Seeds are growing a plant from scratch. So automatically your clones would show alternating nodes sooner unless you had started the seed first, knew the age of the mother from which the clone was taken AND were able to align these in your grow.

Also, if they're of two different strains, then they're going to mature a little differently.

So it doesn't indicate anything undesirable -- it's just the way it is.
