Please let me know if you think it's time for me to harvest my outdoor plant. I know it partly comes down to personal preference. I would like to have a more body high and sedating with it so I guess 70-80% amber hairs right?

This is my first grow so please let me know what you think. They are in their 8th week and the strain is master kush, thanks in advance!20180912_074618.jpg 20180912_074727.jpg 20180913_115621.jpg 20180913_115629.jpg 20180913_115643.jpg 20180913_115649.jpg 20180913_115859.jpg 20180913_115825.jpg 20180913_115758.jpg 20180913_115603.jpg

Well my friend I can tell you right now that's nowhere near 70 or 80% Amber hairs, plus it's Amber trichomes you want for the more sedate couchlock effect, not hairs

you really need a magnifying glass or a Jeweler's loupe and you'll do yourself a great service for the $6 investment in one. your plants looking great, keep it up!

Wow ok, I thought they were just about done, I do have a 30x microscope but it's hard for me to tell what to look for exactly. I mean I look at the trichomes but cant tell if there clear or cloudy. Thanks for your input.

Based on your pics they are very clear trichs and Master kush is better smoke the longer you let it go

"hairs" or pistils need to be brown orange 100%
You want trichomes to be amber and cloudy and those can only be seen with a jewelers loop or a microscope
They are a cheap and informative tool
Nice looking plants but no where near done
Maybe by October
Thanks for the compliment but I have mucho catipillers on them, I've taken off over 50 of those flickers in the past few days. It makes me soo mad when I pull them off I see there mouth chewing on gooey resin high as a kite. I'm hoping the damage isn't too bad and I dont want to spray my buds so late in it.

Besides pulling them off is there anything I can do without damaging the flavor if the buds?
This late you are doing what most of us do
I spread Liquid Seven powder on the ground but that is about as chemical as I get
Caterpillars and slugs go into the coffee can with gasoline
