is it safe to have new seedlings under a 600 watt MH? the lamp is 36" above the tops of the seedlings. The reflector is air cooled and my temp is ~77-80F.

ok, thanks, there are a few 4ft shop lights here. when it is safe to start using the big lamp?

ok, i set the MH lamp up to 4 feet from the tops. i couldn't fit the shop lights, my cab is only 42" x 30". When should I start lowering the lamp?
can i see pics of your grow room?
u say 600mh do you mean 600w MH CONVERSION? i just bought one of those recently. please let me know. also what kind of seeds. did you germinate and sprout before putting in? are you growing soil ? hydro?? umm what size pots are the seedlings in? what kind of soil did you use?

I'll get some pics this afternoon. Its bag seed started in a Burpee germination tray. I just put the seeds in the wet plugs.
I plan on growing with a soil / perlite mix (i was thinking maybe 60/40) and transplanting to 4in. pots once the roots are well established and then to 3 gallon conatiners.
And yes it is a MH conversion lamp for my 600 watt digital HPS system.
The room itself is a small six foot tall box I built. For ventillation I have a twin window fan bringing in fresh air and a 500 cfm inline fan pulling hot air from the refclector.

where did you get that bumpee tray?? i havent got anything like that and am about to start my grow maybe i shuold pickk one of those up..

wanted to post an update with pics from day five and six, but my internet went down.
today I'll try to post pics as I transplant these into 16oz cups. The Burpee tray is much to shallow for a deep rooter like mj, I don't know if I'll try it again.

all set with the transplant. thinned out two that were well behind the others. will post pics when done.
