Is it possible for a plant to revert back to veg in 12/12 lighting due to stress?

Hello, I posted a couple weeks back being I am having problems with my second run.

I have a 4x4 tent filled with a one plant scrogg. The plant was vegged for 3 months from clone, topped, let, and trained prior to flip. One week before the flip to 12/12 I also did a final supercropping. I the. Took some bad advice and defoliated heavily at the end of week three.

There were several problems I had and I got them figured out. But to learn from my mistakes I'm curriour to see if the stress could of reverted the plant back to veg to grow more leaves before it continued to flower again. The light cycle is on point, no leaks, steady temp with air circulation now.

The problem I have was I hit 8 weeks of flower but the buds looked the same as week three they stopped forming and the plant grew much bigger. After my first post I changed some things by adding air extraction and intake and cutting back on my nitrogen. Since then I have seen explosive bud production and it looks like it's back in full bloom again.

I'm also wondering that if that is the case that it took a break to veg more before it continued flowering again, if it will still develop and swell like normal. I have seen no manners or anything, it looks nice and frosty. I have flowered out the same cut before and I finished in about ten weeks. I'm at ten weeks now and it looks like I have about four more to go. First pic is two prior, second and third pic are from yesterday. Thanks in advance.

I think, I remember helping you in the thread you mention?
TBH I think it'll be slow. It's been stunted.
It'll still ripen. It just might not be as swollen.
It may take longer to ripen too.
Just be patient.
Lol yeh you did, I just wanted to start a new thread about the possibility of it revegging on its own without changing the light schedule. Thanks for all your help.

Hello to those who read this....

I thought I would post some updated pics on my plant...maybe someone else can learn from this.

I'm and in the middle of week 13 since I flipped to 12/12 and the plant has changed alot in the last 3 weeks, now I am in the swelling stage and it looks like a couple more weeks should do it.

The buds are filling in nicely now with colas everywhere, I think I'm gonna come out ok on this one with some wieght.

Please let me know what you guys think!

Guess you learned an important lesson about leaves. They are the stores for the plant. You cut them off they spend energy growing them back instead of bud.

It still looks like a reveg. Check the timer and maybe switch it out. They can go bad.

If not that look for a light leak.

If not that then it's from the stress. Those buds should have gotten bigger.

Live and learn.

Thanks for the reply....

I learned after all this that yes do not remove leaves, and I also learned that I had too much nitrogen into flower.

I know they should be bigger but after all it's been through it's finally filling in and smells great, I'm confident I'm still Gona pull a good amount of bomb smoke.

You can't tell in the pic but that cola is a foot tall and about as round as a Coke can in the middle so it's still doing alright I guess.

Also to, i have no light leaks and I checked my time it's running on the spot so it has to be the stress and too much n I'd what I have concluded.

I'm gonna finish it out and then start on my mango kush plant that has been begging for 3 months and try another one plat setup but with more knowledge this time lol

Dude!
What an amazing recovery.
Amazing what that extra intake did.
Congrats man.
I have to admit. I thought you were gonna have a bunch of popcorn .
Aren't they amazing plants sometimes.

Thanks for the update smokingbandit.
Thats an extremely positive outcome.

If i have any advice. Its to probably get a betteer quality light source.
But having said. Suffocating plant, at 8 weeks of bloom with no bud. To this.
Couldnt ask for a better outcome.

Thanks for the update OP
Great result!

:peace:

PS.
No heavy defoliation.

Thanks for the reply man I really appreciate all the help you gave me.

After adding the ventilation, I also flushed it, then cut back on the nitrogen and then on a couple waterings of just plain pH water I added a teaspoon of molasses that another guy mentioned and it definitely kicked it into gear.

I now notice a size increase and the buds thinckening daily right now with watering getting to become more often.

I'm riding it out til it complete and I think my half pound goal might still be achieved.

With timers if it is a mechanical one they can get a bad spot and turn on for a bit in the middle of the dark cycle.

I've seen it happen to a few people on here.

It doesn't look like it had too much nitrogen. N is still needed in flower just not as much.

It's hard to tell with the led on.

Can you get a pic with the led off and camera flash or natural or white light?

They may still have a bit more to go.

I use a digital timer and one of the first thing I did was check that and it's working on point, I also closed myself up in the tent and not a single spec of light.

I will have to wait until my light turn on later to post a pic without the led on, here's one I took about almost two weeks ago without the led but there bigger now.

I'll post a updated one later, I think I have about two or 3 more weeks before there finished.

Yea. Looks a bit heavy on N but not a toxicity.

I think the main culprit is the heavy pruning.

We all make mistakes. Just learn from it and you will get better at growing.
