Hey guys. How has anyone fared topping autoflower plants? Im doing a autogrow for the first time n I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not cause there's nothing set in stone if you should or shouldn't
Is it okay to top Autoflowering plants?

Research it. If by day 21 from sprout it has 5-6 healthy nodes it can be topped. Later than that or not healthy growth she'll stunt and possibly lose weight.

I’ve always found that my autos do better when not topped. Just my experience though

From what I have read, SOME auto strains can be topped with good success - however, you need to see if the breeder recommends it. Check out Mephisto Gentics’ strain guide ... they say which if THEIR strains responds well to which particular training method.

you can but you have a very short window
about 2 weeks in when the 2nd lateral/branch is out
but really depends on strain
the result is...if you do top/fim
= 2 medium sized colas
over one large cola if you didn't
this is a good way to dodge mold in your area
meaning larges colas can hide that bud rot easy
as 2 kolas ...you can spot in time
IMO do a test and leave at least one plant non topped

I topped and pinched an amnesia xxl auto (freebie )with good results got over 2oz of good quality bud so I'll defo be doing it again ......more to the point .?....can an auto be cloned. ...research has come on so far its worth asking the question. .....,,?

yes ..... again with that 2 week window
at about the 2nd lateral
of more success is grafting like with grapes and citrus
a very hand method should you have a box of males about to be trashed
but the real issue here is you have a very very short window
as in most cases once an auto shows its sex its running mad to senscence
and any vegitive play is long gone ..lol
