Is it ok?

I plan on growing 1 plant. I just got an 8 quart bag of Miracle Gro.

1. Do I have to do anything to it, or can I just put it in a cup and throw the seed in? Is it good like it is, or do I need to add something to it?

2. Do I have to change the soil? If so, how often? Will 8 quarts be enough for 1 plant?

You don't change a plants soil, IDK much about miracle grow, as long as it doesn't have weed killers in it, because it is a weed after all.

You may want to start off germinating more than 1 seed unless you have feminised seeds. It would suck to get a male plant with no backup.

8 quarts is 2 gallons so yes you could grow it in that much soil but if you want a bigger plant then I would reccomend getting a 5 gallon bucket and filling that up for your grow. You should actually just use the 2 gallon at first and then transplant it to the 5.

But yeah, you can just drop the seed in and wait to see if it grows. But like I said, try multiple seeds to make sure you get a female.

Ya I agree with DownOnWax on germinating more than one seed. As far as 5g per plant, If you not growing under HID lights you prolly wont need that, I'd spring for a 3g.
