Is it legal to have a scale in your possession if you are a medical marijuana cardholder? If not I'm curious as to why?

No scale, bags or ledgers. They are not ilegal, but used to incriminate.

If you are a card holder you're fine.
If not :
It would be a "reasonable suspicion".
1. But they would need a "probable cause" to search your person to find it.
2. NEVER allow your self to tricked into being searched.
3. Know your rights and politely exercise them.
4. Refuse to be searched without probable cause.
5. Don't reek of bud and you should be fine.
6. Wash your hands after smoking.

It is not illegal to have a scale if you are a medical marijuana user. Though if you get pulled over, having a scale on you may give them a reason to hassle you.
Golden rule of thumb:
Weed + Scale = Fine
Weed + Baggies = Fine
Weed + Scale + Baggies = You are in for some serious B.S. if caught--even if you are in the right.
