If it still hasn't germinated, then yes, this is bad, if it has germinated, but that it took 3 weeks, then carry on sir.

indeed, if you don't see that the seed has at least cracked open yet.. after 3 full weeks... its def. time to call it quits.

It has only germinated a little bit the root is barley out and its barely starting to come off its still making progress but im just asking if its bad if it takes a while?

Not necessarily. Could simply be an old seed or some other reason. If it's growing it's growing, get waiting and see what it's like

Thats what i was thinking but i wasn't sure so i decided to ask on RIU. Is there anything i can do the process faster ?

Nah, at this stage there's little you can do but wait really. niether co2 or lights are beneficial to germinating seeds. You want darkness when they're germinating. It's once they pop their heads above ground that they need to be hit with light.
Im not using the ground im germinating them in a plastig bag with a papertowel and water

yea hes referring to once you see the tap root its time to put it in soil, and dont give it light until it makes it's way above the ground.

exactly. It should also ideally be in darkness whlie in the paper towel, such as in between two plates or in a desk drawer etc.
Im using a plastic drawer hahaha im going to turn it into a grow box

No signs of life after three weeks and your just now wondering? Yeah I would believe those poor bastards are dead
I just said there not dead there just taking a long time to pop out the shell so i got concerned and asked a question if you want ill take pics later
