M y outdoor shed is 8 feet long 5 feet wide and 7 foot high, im running 2 600watt hps in cooltubes with a 6 inch vortex, completly sealed minus a portable ac.. right now the noise isnt bad but not sound proof. My next run im using a 1000gph pump for a new hydro setup and its loud... I plan on using batt inulation around the whole shed, then hanging the mylar.. How much will this help with sound..?trying to hear experiance before i spend 230 on insulation and 3 hours putting it up(insulation sux putting up), any comments?

Ok. To mask sound, your best bet is foam. Spongy foam. You can buy acustical tiles/sound proofing foam online. It can get pricey, but it serves 2 purposes:
It will absorb sound and insulate temperatures.

Thing is, if it gets wet, it could lead to mold.

i was thinking the same thng baout mold.. but also, i didnt no if that would put off enoughi insulation for heat/cold when the weather iss crazy.. What about spray in insulation?

That would work even better and be cheaper.

You will still require a heat source when the weather is cold and vice versa more than likely. Its gonna be a play by ear type thing till you get it down.

yea i feel ya man, i have a 9000btu ac unit that keeps it cool in the hottest of hot weather, and ill run a portable heater or bare bulbs in winter. But thanks bro, worried about sound really, i live next to a cemetary were its always getting maintance and the last thing i need is someone geting nosey and saying :"damn why is ther noise coming from thst shed lol.. but thanks man
