Is HPS worth it to flower with?

I have a Big Bud plant that will soon be ready to flower. I have been growing this pant with flouros up till now, and it has been working great. The plant is very healthy and the question I have is, is it really worth going out and spending the 60 dollars for the HPS light? I mean does it make that much of a difference?

like with yield or quality? And I have 3 plants how many watts do i need to support them?

I am using a 400W HPS for 4 plants. The HPS is going to increase yield because of thicker and bigger buds.

Hi Ganzy, you will have tighter, denser, stickier, and heavier buds using the 400W HPS.....much more bang for your buck.....(makes the pay off for all of the TLC you have lavished on your plants that much more rewarding).....
Just do it.......!

Thanks for the input. I think im going to go ahead and get the HPS lamp. It seems like the logical thing to do. you have been a great help.

one other thing, would there be anything wrong with getting the security HPS lamp at lowes like for putting outdoors? I mean it has a hood and a 250 watt bulb, I dont see how I could go wrong getting it?

its better if the bulb has the correct spectrum.
