That's the problem here.
Drop the preception of going to college makes a person smart. That 1950's BS is out played.
College sets up your career, plain and simple. It DOES NOT make you smarter than the next person, only an uneducated person would ASSUME that. You are not PROMISED a job right out of school, you must find and EARN it. Shit that's why people move across country after they graduate, they found a good paying job worth the move.
Oh yeah, and you don't HAVE to go to college to make good $$$. Obviously if you're lucky enough to know someone in a good business, then you're most likely set. My friend doesn't need college, his 'daddy' was an iron worker and introduced him to the hall and all the other workers. Soon after he was 19 he was an apprentice because of his dad and the rest was history. He trys to show off not needing school, but he's honestly not smart enough to realize his career was HANDED to him.
Everyone has different reasons, I can't have a better life without a degree, why? Because I've already tried for seven years.
