Ive seen somes prices on nutes made by Canna and they have single bottles of a nute for over $100.

Do you honestly have to buy there nutes, there has to be a lesser road to go down.

BTW.... Before I saw the prices for the nutes I was falling in love with it. Everything I was reading about and the few videos I was able to watch were just awesome. Im hooked on Miss CoCo! :-P

Coco is very foregiving. Just one thing to keep in mind. Ca and Mag bind with coco. So, when you first wet it out, do it with 300ppm Cal/Mag. Let it stand for a day, and give it a small leaching. This "fills up" the coco, so that it won't rob the calcium from the plants on the first few feedings.

Coco can be as simple or as complex as you want to make it. Once roots have taken hold you cannot overwater it and it's an inert medium that has ph buffer built in. There are cheaper coco nutes on the market, but I chose canna because there is more online support for these nutes. I think it's definately worth buying canna coco pro coir as this is specialy treated and buffered.

You can sort of treat it like soil or hook it up to hydro systems.

used it for last 4 grows. just took it out the bag used only a+b (about £30 for 5l) an hey presto! great results.

I think the important thing to watch out for in coco is letting the medium get too dry. Also watching out for cal mag issues unless you have suitable hard tap water to give them. Another is making sure the ph when you feed is right, I have read that coco will start to take on the PH of the feed and PH is not so quick to change back if you go out of range because it buffers ph so well.

leeching is when minerals and salts are washed from one horizon to another (or in this case out of the holes in your pots).

You can use cheap nutes with coco, just make sure you pH more on the hydro side than the soil side (lower like 5.8 versus 6.5ish for your soil)
