Hmm interesting. Could be a cool x change market. Plant material can last quite a while if packed up so a small Styrofoam box and ice packs and those parts can be shipped anywhere. Vietnamese do that all the time. Take cuts put them in water or plastic sealed bag and throw them in the fridge for a week or two.

But still cannabis is cannabis. If I just go 30 grams of fresh leaf from a buddy whose to say I don't want to make cookies with it at home.

I believe the trick will be sharing unrooted clones as they wouldn't considered plants. Questionable and not clear if they'd consider rooted clones a plant.

I hope it blows up to the point that people are sharing genetics and it won't be such a hassle to get say clone only genetics. There are strains I wish I could try growing but simply have no idea where to get reliable, reasonably priced clones.

So I am unsure how this translates into sharing cuttings but what I was told by HC about my plant count might shed some light on the subject

TL;DR is that a cutting is not considered a plant until it has roots ... no roots means it's not a plant

I have a 25 plant count limit and wanted to be sure I stayed within my limit but also need to be able to take cuttings to keep my girls going and needed to know when a cutting is considered a plant ... no roots, not a plant I was told

The sad thing is that many prefer clones vs. seeds because seeds are so inconsistent for the most part. If breeding were being done instead of chucking you'd have stable strains where running a pack would pretty well guarantee a few nice phenos representative of the marketing hype. As-is I've had maybe 4 strains stable/consistent enough for that in commercial seeds.

dont like seeds ......good luck getting a AAAA strain from anyone ......ever ........if they know what s good for them

Lowering your expectations doesn't make the current state of the seed business any better. There's no reason to settle if you're paying premium prices for them.

And I have no problem sharing my elite cuts, unrooted of course. That (not giving up your best cuts) is old school BM thinking.
