is blood meal a good fertilizer

i have a 3 and1/2 week old white widow plant growing and i put miracle grow organic blood meal in the top layers of dirt has anyone had any luck with blood meal

yes.. i just yielded 2-3z of plant using nothing but mg organic blood meal... its good stuff.
just watch out for black flies, they love to lay eggs in the shit and then u have maggots in the soil. i dont know if this is beneficial or not, from what i know i would say the maggots would definitly be beneficial to the soil as they would have a similar effect as worms, and it did no harm to my baby, i tried to dig through the top layers of soil and kill as many as i could but i didnt do much for fear of damaging roots so i pretty much let em be to see what happened BUT it was a bitch killing all the damn flies everyday for like 2 weeks once the maggots matured

not that much... when they were seedlings just sprinkled a bit in the top layers, once i had em transplanted into there final pots about 1/3rd thru veg cycle i put a big fat tablespoon scattered in lil pockets in the top 2 inches of soil for each bush, and did the same once i started flowering
