is all the smell in the cure?

i just harvested some very purple supposed big bud that i had got from a friend. it smelled great during flowering but a day or two after harvest the smell is almost completely gone. all of the plants i have grown so far have done this n i usually dont leave curing past more than a few days cuz im impatient n love the smoke either way. so does it always take a good cure to have some bawm smelling bud?

Yes, it can take up to 4 weeks, sometimes 3 to get the smell back. Patience is the hardest part to learn

dammit dont tell me that hahaha i could grow a 1/2 lb n it wouldnt last that long hahahaha guesse i just have to learn to wait. is it always that long i heard a 1 week cure is okay.

I heard if you cure in plastic you get the smell back sooner but it takes longer to cure properly. I just started curing 2 grams in a jar and 2 grams in plastic of some Bubba Kush Pre98 to see if it's true.

I have a little Pineapple Express left that I've been curing going on 6 weeks now and the difference between week one, week four and week 6 is night and day.

baja when would u say u notice ur smell come back. mine isnt the hay smell that i sometimes get its just real piney. not sweet how it used to be.

guess it depends on how you grow it, all of my plants have been in soil, most of my first few plants I did what you did, just smoked them as soon as they would burn but once I was able to grow enough to put some aside I noticed the difference that you read about and now I am actually considering buying some cheapy eight from my dispensary to cure the rest of this Bubba Kush Pre98, lol

It's good right now at 2 weeks but my mouth waters when I think of how good it will be in 3 more weeks, trust me, the wait is worth the reward
