Is a solar blanket the same thing as a fire blanket?

So i was told to get a fire blanket to line my grow room with because they are cheap and made out of Mylar. however, i was only able to find a solar blanket that is supposed to be really reflective as well its just made out of some kind of polyester blend i think. is there a difference? do you think what would be fine or do you think i should keep looking for the mylar? any input appreciated!

It's rather difficult to tell actually. Mylar is biaxially oriented PET if that helps, I think it is the metallized stuff you want. Other cheap sources of it include "emergency blankets" used to conserve shock victims body heat. Hope this helps.

yeah that's what this thing is for.. conserving heat.. except i think it is for hiking/camping purposes. i'm going to give it a try.. if my plants suck then i'll change it up. thanks for the help
