Is 184 watt CFL enough?

Hey im new so just bare with me here. I'm on my first grow I have 2 plants under184 watt CFL (8. 23 watt bulbs) in a 2 Sq ft grow box growing in soil. I am 35 days into flowering, and barely have any buds on them. Not sure of the strain (bagseed). My question is do I have enough light or am I just being impatent? What kind of yield (ballpark) should I expect from this setup?

It's not a lot of light, and the spectrum isn't going to be very good at all, but you should still get something out of it. I would guess that you have the light too far away from the plants. Get them in there close. 8 inches max distance...and set up a small fan on low to keep air moving so they don't get overheated.

I lad my cfls like as close as I could get them...you might get some off it but not a lot and it will be fluffy, after my first cfl grow I bought a outside hps light from lowes, I think it was 70watts and cost like 40 bucks....made a huge differance.

for around a hundred dollars you can buy a 1kw raw ballast, bulb, and simple reflector...

This was 10 years ago for me and it was at my local store.....used it for 2 or 3 harvests and upgraded big time....lol

But it did do well for the cost. I remember having 2 4 foot t12 shop lights and 10 of the 46 watt cfls and that yard light all buzzing away....

This was grown with 148 watts of 2,700k cfl in a 2.5 square foot box. This pic is at 49 days after switching to flowering schedule. The pant grown from seed and vegged for 5 weeks. Mystery bag seed. The buds are frosted and dense. IMG_1675.JPG IMG_1688.JPG

Thanks for the replies. So if I add some more light now for the last 4-5 weeks of flowering will growth increase? Or is it to little too late? Can I let them go a few weeks longer in flowering since they got such a slow start? Thanks again

more light might help. with CFL you need to keep them super close like 3 inches to be fully effective, and make sure you have a fan running as to not overheat the plant. They can generate more heat than one might expect.
