is 1220gph pump overkill

is a 1220 gph 1/6hp pump over kill for a 16 plant dwc/bubbleponics system.if the price is right.

Can you control the volume it pumps, with out buring up the impellers or something?

chabnock,i just went and looked,their are no controls to set the amount you want to pump,being 6th of a hp,i imagine it just pumps the same continuos amount,the sale ended today so i had it put it on hold.so is it to powerfull.do the pumps that hydro stores have have controlls to set the amount you want pumped.thanks.

most of them do, yes. little slide bar that governs how much volume is pumped.

thanks i guess that pump will be no good to me.im trying to build a 12 plant with 6inch net cups.dwc with a bubbler,in rollitup they just have a dwc system and not the complete how to for a dwc/bubbleponics system.
