You are south of me and White Widow has been pretty hardy in these parts alongside the other knockout indicas, Northern Lights, any Skunk or Cheese.

I remember a friend telling me...... in Nebraska he runs diesel ryder auto's since they get finish so fast and grow HUGE outdoors under natures hps/mh combo. and JOC was right, Iowa sucks. Go Pelini!!! hehe

ive grown for the last 4 years in iowa and has been done in my generation for over 20 years now. you really dont have a choice about pollination its gana happen to some extent, but what you can do is finda plot at least a couple miles from ditch weed. i use weed killer and go on a ditch weed hunt and exterminate all i can find in my area, its a pain in the ass but i think it helps. but last year i grew some nycd and og kush and they were on a terrace in a cornfield and they had like only 10 seeds that i could find, pretty damn good for iowa.

about what strains to grow i say anything indica because the sativas seem to produce weaker buds when pollinated and the indicas have more bud to seed ratio with less leaves.it all depends tho,check out your area for ditch weed. i dont give a fuck about the seeds tho cuz its personal smoke and the best ive ever had

Thanks man, that was my plan just try to keep them somewhat sheltered and put them out as late as possible. Will definetley be searching and trying to pull all of the ditch in the area but Im sure its futile and I will still get seeds, just as long as I dont get full blown males

i have just thought of a great idea concerning the ditchweed problem, i thought about ordering some regular autoflowering strains and putting them out as early as possible and make a shit load of good quality seeds before male ditch weed is even flowering. then you could plant some and have a mess of seeds for next year----a way to get some good sensemilia. but im still going to grow some white rhino and masterkush. wad do ya think?
