invasion of white fuzz

My plants are being attacked by something white and furry. I know it sounds cute, but it isn't!

Please check out the pics. This doesn't look like powdery mildew, from the pics I have seen of PM it's more of a flatter "bloom", this is more like fuzzy stuff, mould or something.

All help is much appreciated.

hmmm never seen it growing on a leaf before but ive seen it on the surface of the soil when its kept wet for to long are u spraying ur plants alot?

maybe but it deff look like a fungus to me ive seen it on rotting wood aswell

Looks like powdery mildew to me.

Looks like powdery mildew. Check out the FAQs ASAP! I use Zero Tolerance but you have to dillute it almost 50% for most strains. Im pretty sure you can use vinegar or apple cider vinegar too.

I don't spray the plants at all.

These are actually clones that I bought, but I have had them for about a week so they haven't been sprayed for at least that long.

I don't water until the soil gets quite dry.

God I hate growing in soil. I don't like it, it doesn't like me. I can't wait to get some cutting off these plants and get them into hydro...

Dude if your having trouble in soil, then good luck with hydro. I cant wait.

excessively high fert levels- as evidenced in ur plants, can leaves the plant open to diseases and pest. That looks like straight up mold. I found some on the root trunk in a DWC that looked exactly the same. when I touched it, it immediately made those spots that mold is famous for-white and black speckled. Cut ur nutes and get some Serande or something with fungi control in it and give em a good spray. chances are the spores were present from the supplier.

According to the source, they weren't fertilized, just relying on nutrients already present in the soil.

I will go to a gardening store and get something for mold. Would a spray of H2O2 help?

the best way ive ever gotin rid aff the fungus is by keepin a close eye on em n try n let em dry out as much as possable but then again i only had ta dry out the soils surface to get rid off it but if ya can get a spray that will do it thats even better n good luck with the grow m8y

Try spraying with baking soda and water. This takes care of mildew, and probably most fungis.
