Interesting Quesetion Enquireing Minds Want to know

Hi i have just recently put my plants into flowering and i just went out and got some new lights for the flowering they are as follows 100w equivelent CFL and actually use 26w they are rated 1750 lumens per bulb and are soft white 2700k i have three above and three below on 2 plants, also i added to flourotubes i hade lying around they both are made by lights of america and the first is a 24 in "Grow Light" 120v 60Hz 17w 300mA model number 7020 E GL replacement bulb numbers are RB17T8GL or F17T8/GL and on the other it is model nomber 7000 E 120v 60Hz 15w 192mA replacement bulbs are F15T8 , before during veg i also had a 13w 6400k light in there two with just the two flouro tubes and they vegged great! Now thw interesting part i was brainstorming sources of light i had available to me around the house right now and i thought of this possible solution if i took a sring of little bulb type x-mas lights with all red bulbs would this help with the plants and the red spectrum lighting? could this work? anyways it;s up for debate right here so post your opinions and let me know what YOU think tell your friends to come and give me thier opinions too i look forward to reading all the knowledgeable response in the mean time im going to fire one up and wait for some answers...lol i'll be checking in.

they are 150 actual watts but they are CFL's so they are putting out the eqivelent of 100 watts of light per bulb of 2700k lighting so basically its like having a 600w bulb but instead of 1 big bulb i have six smaller ones so i can allocate the light better, im not sure of the lumens for the flouro tubes i have to chaeck the web site and get back to you on that in a few mins

ok the lumens for the second smaller flouro tube not the grow light are 875 lumens @ 4200k i found out that the grow lights lumens were 1093 but not sure of the k yet still looking

Nah man...that "equal to 100w" is a comparison to incandescent bulbs. Not the same as having 600w of HID lighting...I would add a couple 42w' ers to the mix
