Interesting lighting question

Hi all, I have a curious problem in my room with regards to my lighting. As of right now I have 3 600 watt hps over top of two 4 x 5 ebb and flow tables. So basically 4 x 10.

Now the plan is to change from full room rotations to one table every 4.5 weeks but the problem is how to set up my lighting. The middle light is currently straddling both tables but assuming the plants will be at different heights when they are 4 weeks apart, I am looking for an alternative.

My current idea is set up one table with one 600 w light and a light mover. The other table will have 1200 watts of light. I move the plants from table one to the 1200 watt table to finish up every rotation with max light. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I wouldn't do a light mover as that would only further diminish the light to the table with only 1 600w. Plus the maturing plants don't need the super intense light toward the very end of their life. So maybe you're better off just keeping the lights spread evenly over the two tables.

I could try it once with the light in the middle over both tables adjusted to the tallest plants. I use clones so they don't stretch drastically so it could only be 6 inches further away.

I was also told plants need the most light during the last few weeks

i run a perpetual harvest in aero and 3k in lights over a 8x4-1/2 canopy. every three weeks i put 12 plants in the middle and rotate to outside when i harvest the next unit. all lights were originally hung using pulleys and rope for adjustability but i found inever used it. i keep all lights the same and havent seen issues from it. now being 600's i dont know

That's a lot of light! I see what you mean with putting the youngest plants in the middle as they get the best light but I have to use either the left table or the right. Can't put them in the middle
