This will be my first indoor grow myself, im interested in a smaller grow, maybe 4-6 plants depending on how things go...
the tent i choose is a 4ft in length, 2 ft in width, and 5 foot in height,
I'm stumped with lighting, in a 4 ft long tent, would a 1,000 full spectrum LED light that sits 8inches in width and 12 inches in length be suitable? if i hung in in dead center of the tent?

any thoughts, tips, tricks, and ideas are more then welcomed please and thank you.

What light is it? Brand/name.

I'm using a 2x4x5 as a flower tent and I went with the HLG 320w XL.

RapidLed also has some Cob fixtures that would fit those dimensions.

You made a good choice, and will never be in a position where you can say you do not have enough light for your space, which is what many end up with by choosing unwisely .

Welcome, Dankenstein1.
From a functional standpoint, unless your space prohibits you from adding height that is the first thing I'd change. 4 plants in a 2x4 is going to be cozy and trying to keep from frying your tops with any light is going to be a problem. Minimum height I'd work with is 6 feet-preferably 7.
For 8 sq ft, minimum of 240w of good diodes like QB's, strips or current tech cobs. For most Amazon panels, I'd plan on around 400w total to adequately illuminate the space.
