Inline filter on a aeroponics unit. Need or not necessary?

Is an inline filter really necessary? I have ready some guides that say you should use one to prevent clogging your misters, but Stinkbud does not use one for his setup, and i plan on pretty much following his guide to get a lb every 3 weeks, but my setup will be a bit different.

For instance i will be using 5 rails per aero system, 25 plants per, and 40 misters per system. I don't think this should be a problem, but i was surprised when i noticed that he does not use a filter for his sprayer system.

The first thing i do when I get as new pump is remove the filter and toss it. A little advice on these systems, more is not better. This applies to nutes and plant counts. I have much better yields with 12 plants in 3 rails than I did with 21 plants in same area, and much less work. And one sprayer per plant is enough. I run 12 sprayers for 12 plants and never worry about clogs.
