Inline fan muffler

Do I put the muffler on the front of the inline fan (part that sucks air in) or the back (side that pushes air out)? I may only have room to put it on the back.

Your in luck. It goes after the fan.
filter-->fan-->muffler-->exhaust out

Yeah I put it on last night. It went from the sound of a jet engine to a regular house fan. The brand was "phat muffler"
