ive got these 2, 1 and 1/2 week old white rhino seedlings.
both of then are about 3 inches tall
they both have 2 , 1 fingered leaves and a another 2 coming through on each one.
i was wondering how long or was tall they will be until they have about 7-8 nodes?

i have them both under a 20w cfl it is 2.5 inches away from them.
they are in an organic soil compost mix.

Pull down those lights, Ive got my babies under 23w CFL's at 2200 lumen a peice and i keep them under 1" away... Bring the lights down and u will notice a difference because the further the lights are away from ur plants the less of the initial lumen ur plants will actually recieve. Also are they both under 1 CFL, if so thats another problem, ur going to want to have many CFL bulbs nin ur growop to make sure the entire plant is receiveing light, Could u possibly post some pics or give some details on ur setup?

its only in a tempery set up, the bigger cab is under construction.
i was worried about putting the light to close , cuz i new you can put cfl close but didnt know how close.

yeh they both under 1 light but they in a shoebox which is covered in a reflective material.

i made the mistake of letting my seedlings stetch REALLY bad (4-6 inches) so when i transplanted em i buried all the stembut the top inch between the soil top and the first leaves. dunno if it was a bad or good idea cuz i cant find the answer after looking for like 6 hours, anyone know if its bad or good?

What you did was good. In fact you could have planted them deeper leaving the lowest leaves just off the surface of the soil. The buried stem will push out roots so that will be a plus and going deeper would not have hurt and would have made for more stem surface to push out roots. But still it was good what you did.

But get your lights as close as you can without causing a heat problem or they will just stretch again.

My White Rhino seems to be a slow starter. Maybe its just a characteristic of the strain. I am only a few weeks ahead of you and its only been the last week or so that I have seem some serious vertical growth.

I would bring down those lights and add a few if its possible. Are you doing 18/6 or 24 during veg?

this ones 3 inches tall and has 8 :) ...i just riped its top off a couple days ago

mine is no where near the bushy i think it may be worth my while tranplanting then into bigger pots ant putting soil up to its leaves

my 2 oldest plants are between a month and a month and a half old and they are close to a foot tall but they dont look bushy like these plants. They look more like tree saplings? they have 5 nodes and the 6th one is coming up righ now. is this OK??? Also Im using a big 30w flourescent aquarium light and i had a small regular bulb going too but they completely turned away from it so i took it out and i give them small amounts of nutes every so often. I do know the plant i got the seeds from was roughly 6 feet so could it just be the strain?

would people stop trying to hijack my thread lol.
and i just transplanted my seedling into a bigger pot and put soil up about 2-3 cm from the frit set of leaves.
