Infra-red Sensors

So Im going to have 1000watt hps setup. Is this enough to mess my electric bill up to cause investigations and is it enough for an infra-red to suspect a grow?

just pay your electic bill on time.dont give them reason to ir your house.you start missing and being late on your bill. there going too say why is your power bill so high,you should be alright,just give them there fucking money.my 2 cents

agree'd. but try to watch where you use other power. Dont leave the computer running all day if your not home. Make sure you turn off lights when leaving a room. unplug things that you are not using. Im not saying you need to go nuts, but what where you can save on power and it'll help keep cost down and the power company from looking into your usage

I would not sweat it a space heater is 2 - 3000 watts no one will even question it. Look at trenton's 60 plant set up he is running 4 - 1000's and going to 6 - 1000's.

Change all your incandescent bulbs to CFL's.

Cut the thermostat back two degrees.

Electric or Gas stove? Electric - support your Local Hooters. Gas - use it to heat the place.

Vacuum the coils on the back of the refrigerator.

Listen to the clock radio instead of entertainment system when not entertaining guests.

Learn to shit in the dark.

Manually wash dishes.

Raw Pop-Tarts won't kill you. Eat them that way.

No more Microwave Popcorn.

Wash and dry your clothes at Mom's or Mate's.

You'll be fine.

I have a 3000 watt heater warming my feet as we speak . A 1000 watt light is no worry. Feds aren't gonna come looking for ya plants, just don't tell anybody.

Exactly I have told many people that. There is no worries I run 5 lights all the time no worries and thats all you tell them if they ask. Im runing a space heater. Most people don't even think about it. Its that easy. And some space heaters are 5000 w so there is 5 lights.

Why the hell would they investigate you if they are earning money of you ?

dont tell any one at all and pay the bills the cops wont bother you for less than 10 kwh thats 10 1000s runnin 24 hrs so 3kw will be fine just keep it hidden from sight and not in a loft unless its insulated on the roof and air tight heat seeps through the tiles if in a loft grow do it in a spare bedroom or better a garden shed the roof will be freezing cold all the time and the contents will be hidden behind this screen of coldness also you can make a box in a box and ventalate the inside of the 2 boxes cameras cant see through a cold screen they see the 1st heat that comes at the camera if you can make it look cold it will see the cold bit not the hot bit inside it there is also special mylar google infared proof mylar its expensive and i want to try it has any one else ever used this stuff peace guys happy growing

theres my single plant grow IT MAY SOUND SHIT BUT WAIT TILL YOU LOOK its under 2 600 watt lamps 4 cfls and 3 led pods ofh yes she is huge

Most people get really paranoid about their electric bill... just pay on time and try to conserve where you can and you'll be fine.
