Here is the "last Stand" kind of Representative. Has drawn a line in the sand and come Hell or Retirement he will cling to his voter base and to hell with any other voters in his "kingdom."

Dear Mr. Ernst,

Thank you for contacting me about the use of marijuana by adults. It is a pleasure to hear from you on this important issue. Drug trafficking of marijuana is a growing problem in California's Central Valley. Marijuana is cultivated in the remote areas of the Valley and especially in the national forestland, over which my Committee, House Natural Resources, has jurisdiction. Law enforcement in the Valley has been working with the Drug Enforcement Agency and other federal agencies to discover and halt the sale of illegal marijuana. We must ensure this illegal activity is eradicated and cleaned up. As a matter of public health and public safety, I am opposed to legalizing recreational marijuana. On August 2, 2012, Representative Barbara Lee (D-CA) introduced H.R. 6335, the States' Medical Marijuana Property Rights Protection Act which exempts real property from civil forfeiture due to medical-marijuana-related conduct that is authorized by State law. Additionally, on July 17, 2012, Representative Sam Farr (D-CA) introduced H.R. 6134, the Truth in Trials Act. This bill provides an affirmative defense for the medical use of marijuana in accordance with the laws of the various States. If I have the opportunity to vote on any of these bills in the future, I will keep your thoughts in mind.

I believe legalizing drugs, including marijuana, is a detriment to society and will endanger future generations. There is consistent empirical evidence that shows drug legalization does not curb demand problems. In fact, drug abuse rates tend to increase when drugs are legalized. Furthermore, evidence shows that crime rates dramatically increase when drugs are legalized. Finally, legalizing marijuana sends the signal to people that marijuana use is okay as it establishes the condition for its increased general use. For these reasons, I do not support the legalization of marijuana and will work with law enforcement in the Central Valley to curb illegal drug activity of every kind.
Once again, thank you for contacting me. I encourage you to stay up to date with my activity in Washington, D.C., and in California's 19th District on my website, www.denham.house.gov , and on my social media sites: @ RepJeffDenham on Twitter and Representative Jeff Denham on Facebook.

Must be nice being smart enough to dictate how others live their lives. Denham is full of shit, anyway. Drug addiction goes DOWN when prohibition is lifted. http://youtu.be/-oCPA8AnAuM
Yes it's the same old BS.

I'm in the Central Valley and folks still think Dispensaries are illegal and sales are illegal even when I tell them that is not true! The Ag lost his Supreme Court request for an appeal of the ruling! It's done!

Medical people do not have to be hands on with the production of their medical cannabis!

It's Pot-Bust marathon around here in the Central Valley.

http://www.modbee.com/2012/08/14/2329326/more-than-100-pot-plants-discovered.html

Here a legal sized grow is busted along with the report of an illegal grow and no arrest on the legal man's but they are chopping them down no matter what!
http://www.modbee.com/2012/08/16/2332468/2500-marijuana-plants-discovered.html#storylink=misearch

The officers found 88 marijuana plants at the home in the 1600 block of Dillon Drive, a few blocks east of Highway 99 and south of West Briggsmore Avenue.Sgt. Rick Applegate, a supervisor with the narcotics team, said the plants weighed about 820 pounds without their stalks and ranged in height from 3 feet to 7 feet.

He said a man at the home was not arrested because he had no weapons or criminal history. Investigators, however, have not determined the legality of his marijuana garden.

So in the frenzy of illegal for profit our county is chopping down legal gardens too!

Oh we have had some large busts here and those folks are simply stupid. Keep it under 99 and everyone ends the season a winner!

Anotherbust was a woman in my area who lives within 400 feet of a school. The Police Suggest that Sales were happening and that would suggest it was a Dispensary and subject to the 600 feet rule. BS up the WAZOO!

It's press felony charges first, spend the Tax payers money now and see what happen later when they have to pay for the marijuana after they lose in court!

up here in the foothills it has been quiet for a while.. we have passed some dumb ordinances allowing 'compliancy checks' - but the only way that it has been used was for one neighbor to directly spite another.. they put a fake citation in their neighbor's mailbox which led the cops to come for a compulsory check finding that he was out of compliance - just like every single grow in my county.. he was growing for a man who will be dead within this year and people are not happy that we have to throw the dying into the mud and laugh like french nobility.. regulate now for the sake of everyone's dignity - i would listen to old Denham if he wasn't spouting the propaganda of the war lords...

@ Doby Mick

Well yes we have to watch our butts! Not only do we need to be mindful of police we also have employers to deal with. So Legal and Economic repression are very real. However, as I have said for a few years now come out of the Cannabis Closet!

You can see my face and I am not hiding any more. It sucks..

BTW I have decided to get into the Seed provider role here. I will now organize what I have and produce seeds to provide choices for our Medical People of California.

Imagine how out I will be when handing out flyers for the website!

In the end We cannot Be Free if we keep our chains on even when they are unlocked.

i wasn't referring to you Ernst. That was directed at Mr. Denham.
Oh..

Yeah I am tired of being ignored.

I was online with his telephone call based "Town-Hall-Meeting" waiting to ask about people now able to grow for others and instead of letting me ask my question they put an 8 year old girl on the air who was being prompted to ask question by a parent.
Since when is an 8 year old a voter?

So not only are we being undeserved and ignored but now i am not even allowed on the phone list for the Town-Hall Meeting. They sent me phone messages trying to get me to report my address by having me contact them to express my views and when I didn't do that I have been removed from these Town-Hall conference calls.

It looks like we are all criminals to them and that is how they expect to deal with our Legal Grower Status.

I have been considering setting the website again. I would offer a forum for chat, the ability to share grow logs and pictures with the goal of offering the Central Valley an on-line Collective.
I think I'd like to see us have the ability to share seeds, clones and produce locally.
In fact I can use you guy's input.

i'd love to see something local like that again. i used to belong to a brick&mortar collective that had a pretty decent website similar to what you're thinking.

The answer you get is the same just like their reading it out of their little
Politricks fer Dummys Book. I swear to god I'm voting against every one of them,
I'm call ing every name on the ballot and voting them out if they give me that crap.
If Rommie wins He'll have to legalize pot, thats the only way he'll servive his own politics
and not get knocked off.
