I posted this in the Newbie section but got not love...

DON'T BE SCARED OF THE PARAGRAPHS PLEASE!!!!
:lol::sleep:

Just a little background to start off, I have grown a few times each time I have started with seed and just put it in a pot and waited for it to grow. Recently I have been inspired by grow journals on here to start out with a clone inside while vegging then move it outside to finish off. Where I am located now It is to hot to grow in the summer time so normally people out here grow outdoors starting in mid October. I wanted to get a jump start on this project because I am a college student and do not have much money for lights, ie. (why I let the sun do my dirty work)

So I wanted to get an idea of what lights to get so I can start to save some federals.

Like I said I have grown before but it is really caveman style as my friends call it

, however this time I would like to crop the plant which I have never done before and also I would like to learn what I need to do to veg it the right way, another bit of info I would like to get from you guys is what kind of nutes to put in the soil and how long do i need to put the soil together before I put the plant. This is the newbie section so please help me out I would apprecat any advise from watering, to light cycle, to light itself, soil, and any cropping ideas u guys have.

Thanks for reading all of this I have not typed this much since finals so sorry if there are some typo's! happy growing and smoking and thanks for the help in advance!

Dude cuz ur asking alot of questions thats pretty basic info.. ppl dont like to waste alot of time saying basic info that u can find anywhere.. like nutes and kinds of lights and stuff. First off, where are you at that its too hot to grow outside? The sahara desert? Ur thing says West Coast.. There are plenty of Cali growers here including me and idk where u get ur info but it is not too hot to grow outside.. thats almost an impossibility for cannabis plants, especially sativas that are from the equator and used to very high temps. Secondly, if you are gonna do something inside, you need alot more equipment than just lights. Even if you get the cheapest lights possible ur lookin at a few hundred bucks in other necessary equipment. In my opinion, just put em outside. We on the west coast have the perfect climate for growing.

You must be in Arizona or something. I live in Seattle and am growing an indica and a Sativa. Here's the thing. If u plant them in a big container u can move them around, if u plant them in the ground make sure u mix the soil with some good dirt with a high Nitrogen base. If u want a light. Go on craigslist or something and get a 200 or 250w halide. U can veg real good with one of them. I have one. I use a 250, 400hps, 600hps, and the sun.

No need to be a dick. There are deserts in cali buddy and trust me your an idiot. (being a dick) I am not asking for your opinion, I asked for advise on what I want to do.

Not being a dick, just tryin to figure out the whole situation. Trust me dude, even if ur out in the high desert or freakin Death Valley.. its not too hot to grow outside. My cuzins are growing some beautiful plants right now out in Vville/Hesperia.. 110 degree temps and the plants are lovin it..

well fork over some info on how your cuzo is pulling this off thats all i am asking. It can get to 120 atleast for a week out here sometimes. My last harvest was about a month ago and towards the end I had to pull early because the hairs were getting burnt and mad sun damage

You have to grow the right strains.. if u grow something thats completely sativa it will thrive in that heat.. try one of the classic strains like Acapulco Gold or Panama Red.
