yup! it's true:

The Indiana law gives businesses owners who oppose homosexuality for religious reasons the right to turn away gay, lesbian and transgender people. Governor Mike Pence signed the law Thursday, hailing it as a victory for "religious liberty."

i sincerely hope that each and every one of those businesses who are embracing what even melty-face jan brewer didn't have the balls for..goes out of business and that humans boycott this show of this despicable intolerance like below.

+rep standing o:clap: any business which turns away business, deserves to go out of business and more than likely will..they don't understand how much of a demographic (on average) LGBT is:

white
single (no children)
awesome job - scads of money
no bills - pay full price and cash for everything
best customers

looks like Watt's Blooming is going to be picking the low lying fruit:wink:

in retrospect..maybe we should do this? who wants to frequent somewhere, where you're not welcome? i'd much rather do business with who will appreciate and frankly, i wouldn't want to give them my money.

talk about cutting your nose off to spite your face.

stupid, stupid people, good luck staying in business!

Sometimes people use their bodies and property in ways others of us wouldn't. However, forcing them to do what we would have them do is a prohibitionist tactic, so I reject that tactic.

Best to give your business / money to a service provider that wants your business and leave the others to bear the consequences of their choices.

It will be interesting to see what happens. Will all the store fronts fly confederate flags with signs that proclaim, "no dogs, no queers, and no naggers"? I doubt it.

How does Indiana's law differ from the federal version, RFRA?

where does it say in the bible that lgbt should not be served..close your businesses to them?

let's face it..nowhere..these bigots will not have only lost lgbt biz..i wouldn't frequent that shop either..ow does this affect online biz in indiana?

is their website going to contain a disclaimer? and how would they know..also, how would someone know if you were lgbt in the first place?

talk about discrimination..i hope every single one of them go out of business.

we're well overdue for a revolution.

All good points. So, RFRA is a good thing. I agree. Religious freedom is a fundamental civil right.

From the Bible:

https://carm.org/bible-homosexuality
The Bible doesn't speak of homosexuality very often; but when it does, it condemns it as sin. Let's take a look.

  • Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."1
  • Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them."
  • 1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

so what do you have to do to go into one of these stores? pass a hetero test? some sort of gaydar?

so many people live alternate lifestyles and you wouldn't even know it.

good luck, indiana!:finger:

Actually, it says you should slay them............"If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them."[

this is all going on the sign? right? or is it just for the homosexual?

neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers,

i noticed the orthodox jew in the pic of pence..so religious freedom you say?..how about this storefront?:

Surely it is better to force Jimdamik to socialize with Jew, right? He will realize that he is an anti-semite and burn his copy of Mein Kampf, right?

Maybe a better solution is to let people associate with those they choose, i.e. leave people alone.

stores are open to the public. if you have issue with a customer based soley on religious, gender or race, then you should not have a store.

Seems kind of wordy to me. Maybe their sign should just say, "we don't serve your kind."?
