increased yeilds???

heyo..
i've been growing now for about two years or so indoors in soil and i feel that my buds are pretty good, its just that i would like to increase my yeilds some more from what i've been getting.. i usually average any where from around an ounce or two per plant under a 250 watt hps and mh....
i usually top once at the fourth node. and have done some supercropping when needed to control my heights, and to try and keep the canopy even, but that is as much training and the like that i've done..
on my current grow, i just started some lst on my plants that are about two or so weeks old.. i'm not really sure if the lst will increase my yeilds like topping will or not though..
i always keep an eye on things like ph, proper nutrients, watering, etc, i was just wondering what else i can do to start to get my yeilds up more? i recently went out and got myself a 400 watt digital dimmeable ballast that will run 250 and 400 watt hps and mh's. but i still think that i should be able to wring more yeild out of my 250. but don't know where i'm going wrong..
any suggestions or ideas on getting my yeilds up are greatly apprecitaed.. if anyone needs anymore info on my setup, just ask and i will supply you with the details..

i think the single biggest thing you could do is start using coco as your medium, this alone i feel would give you 20% bigger yields in the same time frame.

edit, i just reread my thread, and i forget to mention that i usually use around a three and a half gallon pot, i'm sure that is an important factor..

thanks ghb.. my girl was telling me about a product i think was called promix, its a coco mix, but my hydro shop didn't carry it so i went with the ffof instead..
when using coco, do you use it straight out of the bag, or is there anything that i have to mix with it like vermiculate or perlite? and thanks for the quick resonse..

i use cann coco pro+ it is pure coco with an added micro organism that aids healthy roots. i use it straight out of the bag and pre soak it with rhizotonic root accelerator, i feel the drainage is more than good enough so don't use any vermecualite/perlite etc

very cool.. thanks again for that info ghb.. i have one last question for you.. i have about six or so two or three week old seedlings that i have started in party cups in the ffof and perlite mix.. would it be any problem if i took them out of the ffof and switched them over to the canna coco that your talking about?

will be fine, on my last grow i mixed potting soil80% and coco 20% and the effect was good, my 18ltr pots were real heavy from all the soil though

hey ghb, you know of an online shop that sells that coco? i was just looking, but i didn't want to get the wrong stuff, so i thought i would ask you first before i bought the wrong stuff.. thanks again for the tips..

i'm in the u.k and buy from hydro shops in person, so any advice i give you on buying online can not be backed up by experience unfortunately.

are you in the u.s?, i would have thought there was hundreds of sites you could buy this stuff from.

A light mover might help increase yields.

Add more watts with more plants and use a complete fertilizer.
