this is a pretty stupid question but i need an answer because i lack the intell to know itttt. so i went to home depot to buy my pots for my pot to get there gallon pots BUT the pots didnt have how much gallons they had sooo can somebody tell me. HOW MANY INCHES A THREE GALLON POT WOULD BE? :D THANKKKK YOOU!:leaf:

Probably around 8-10" deep, but depends on the diameter of the pot too.

heigth, depth, circumfrence, diameter?
 
well, there are many different types and styles of pots.
last one i got was 12 inch diameter and 11 inches deep. its about 3-5 gallon.
was about 5$ for the pot and tray on the bottom. very nice pot, inexpensive and large enough for a good sized plant.

i also recommend stayin away from clay as they "can" cause some rot or mold issues in the future.
 
alright i had went to home depot and i didnt really wanna ask someone how many gallons lol i had already had a bunch of soil in my hand and just said fuck it and left there in cups right now so i think i got some time, alright man ill stay away from the clay
 
put a bin bag in the pot to block the drainage holes, take a 2L soda bottle, count how many it takes to fill it :)

alternatively jsut looka at it and thing "that looks big enough" and end of :D
 
a very cheap alternative is rubbermaid and sterlite tubs from the dollar stores. i dont know whats up with where i am but i couldnt find a square shaped pot anywhere and ended up just getting a couple 16q sterlite tubs for 2$ each
 
what i have done is gone to nurseries for most of my pots and they were FREE.. all i did was ask if they had any used pots they wanted to sell and i knew they would just give em up.. i have many one gallon, two gallon, n five gallon
 
go to the paint section and look at a 5 gallon bucket of paint. a 3 gallon will be a little more than half that size
 
alright guys thanks and i cant go to a nursery i dont even know where one is! but i do know theres like a half price pot by dennys lol but thats to far to ride my bike with a bunch of pots in my bag so ill just stick to da home-dePOT! lol
