If those tests are failed, the person is taken back to the station for tests on heart rate, blood pressure, temperature pupil dilation and urine.
Medical tests must be performed by a medical professional. No cop is going to do any of those tests on me. Full stop.
Toronto is doing a pilot project with a litmus test that’s being used in Australia to determine what type of drug you’re on, to eliminate the walking at the side of the road; we may all end up with that method eventually.

After 1/2 joint? Nowhere near that impact. I'm silly, but nobody I come into contact with would have a clue. I wouldn't try to drive, but that is a ridiculous comparison. And I drink more than I should and smoke less than almost anyone on this board.
Any kid who has downed 7 beers in an hour knows how ridiculous that statement is, even if they have never tried pot. It was likely a very bad night for them physically.

I call bs on his 3% number.
My mother grew up in queens in the 30's (she was a teenager then). She knew exactly what cannabis smelled like when I was a teenager.
She said back in her day, all the men smoked those "turkish cigarettes" . Very potent land race strains from turkey and Afghanistan.
Those weren't any 3% plants. You can find the same strains today pushing 20%, and with a cannabinoid profile that makes it seem higher. The good stuff, even by today's standards. Not as pretty. Not good yielders. Long growing season. But potent.
Are these people born stupid liars or does the police cover that in the academy?
