In Speculation

Lets say, theoretically, one were to try to produce approximately 3 lbs/month (clearly in regards to tomatoes), what would be required, and what would be the best route?

As in:

How much room would you need?
How many plants would you need?
What type of grow would you do (soil/hydro/bubble etc.)

Also, would it be possible to produce this with just one veg and one flowering room (If so, how long do you keep your clones in each cycle)?

Just questions for a speculative tomato garden.

Recommendations Tips Tricks?

you can't beat an outdoor grow for huge yield..unless you have a large greenhouse..check out the yields at the seedbanks for indoor/outdoor yield..for indoor grows hydro is the way to go..the bigger the plant the more yield..a (1)13ft plant outdoors can produce a lb+ compared to an indoor plant 3-4ft..a zip or two??

You would need at least two flowering rooms to keep crops coming up that close to monthly.

The best you could do splitting less than 100sqft most would probably be 1 - 1.5 or maybe 2lbs(or much more, explore sog and a million other things to increase yield) every 6 weeks(earliest, depends on a ton, but is controllable.) once the system is primed and moving steady. Hopefully you could squezze in 15 ~ 30 or so plants total, in all three rooms, harvesting about a third at a time.

This is of course assuming using Hydro systems or better (aeroponics, etc etc)

You're best bet will probably be just to start slow, don't even worry about setting up a hydro system if you can't build it yourself or afford to maybe through away at least a couple hundred bucks on one.

I don't know you experience level growing tomatoes, but it's pretty simple.

Just keep an open mind, even down the road.

Well heres how i see you could easily grow ur tomatoes. Rent (preferbly buy) a 2 bed house or townhouse or apt or w/e u think is best for ur area or landlord.

Keep a veg room that is much smaller then ur flower room (both closets of ur 2 bed house would probably be fine) Keep a mother plant (im assuming uve read up about growing techniques) clone the mother and veg the clones for 3-5 weeks depending on strain (indica dominates tend to have shorter flowering periods so veg longer, while sativas have longer flowering periods of more growth, really just read up on basic growing.). Move vegged plants to flower room and take more clones off mothers or choose vegging plant to be new mother and put mother into flower room as well. The time ur plants spend flowering is much longer then the time they spend vegging and they also take up much more space so this is why the flower room is so much bigger. Now in the flower room you can have plants of all different ages. So each month you should be able to harvest a batch of flowering plants and have another batch that would be ready by next months and keep repeating.....

If u wanted to grow more then use the same principle except with more rooms etc. I gotta say though get atleast one succesful grow under ur belt before attempting anything big as i tried to go all in on my first grow and found myself spending way to much money on supplies i didnt need. So though it may look so very easy and it is in fact very easy theres a lot of miner things that you learn along the way that make a big difference to yields and quality this is why i say atleast one grow experience is crucial.

You do know that this is a MARIJUANA grow forum, so you don't have to refer to it as tomatoes (unless your really growing tomatoes(in that case go to the gardening section).
