In-line fan set up

So I will be buying a couple cheep in-line fans from lowes with a little bit of duct.. My room is roughly 90 degrees and it needs to be cooled.

My question is how do I set up the duct? Do I buy some kind of grate and plug one end? Or do I just leave the end of it just open and run tube out of the room?

I am confused on how to set this up and haven't come across and helpful information.. I'm no carpenter

If your grow room is inside another room. Buying a bazillion cfm fan won't cool it down below the temperature of the room the grow is in.

It would help us to know a little more about your set-up. How big is your room? Are you venting the whole room, or do you have an air-cooled reflector you plan to hook the ducting up to? How do you plan to vent it, where are you going to exhaust the hot air?

You're probably going to need a drill and a circular drill bit if you need to make a hole in the ceiling or a wall somewhere to run the ducting thru. This all depends on where you want the hot air to go.

Inline duct fans like the 4 and 6 inch ones don't really move a lot of air, but they may help a little bit. It would be better to just try and cool a reflector with an inline duct fan.

It's a 5x5 room, the reflector is not air cooled.. I didn't think it would be a problem until I got it going.. I didn't plan any kind of additional exhaust because my original sufficed... That's why I'm asking you guys!

So what do you plan to do with the hot air? Are you saying you already have some kind of exhaust you planned to enhance with the stuff you just bought?

Your exhaust should be on the ceiling or high up on a wall (heat rises). If you already have that taken care of, you may need a couple flanges and clamps for attaching the duct. A picture of your exhaust and stuff would help so we have a better idea how things look and what this will involve.

Well after research I'm not sure that would be enough. So I am going to buy an AC instead and vent that exhaust outside.... But yes, my vent is high on the wall. But I was wondering.. Since my leaf's are a little burnt, if I put the AC in it, and keep it to about ~80... Will the lamp still burn the plants even if the room is a decent temp? It's 1x1k HPS

side note, those homedepot inline duct fans are a total waste of time. for the money ur gonna spend on two of those you could get a real fan for a few bucks more.
if you buy them you WILL be disappointed.

Yeah, I can buy a 6 inch something like 325 cfm fan for 100 bucks at local store.. But like I said, I will probably go with an AC
