i would not try switching between soil and DWC... i used to run a DWC system and its very different from soil... MUCH more complicated. A while back on Overgrow i read a thread that said that the plant has to develop one kind of a root system, either for soil, or for hydro... soil roots are not used to being UNDERWATER all of the time... switching it mid-life is not recommended. also, if you have never set up a DWC system, it would be difficult to start now... u would need a bucket, netpots, an air pump, air stone, hydro nutrients, PH tester to start PH at 5.5-5.8, and if you didnt have a resevoir for it, the plant would also drain the water out of the DWC system within 2 weeks... providing it lived in the first place. Also, if the plant is well developed, you wont be able to even fit the rootball into the netpots to allow the roots to be suspended in the nutrient solution.

but dont take my word for it...
