I'm looking at their online inventory and am seeing a lot of premixed soils. Kellogg, miracle grow, and im seeing all kinds of compost, mushroom compost, peat moss..

My question is, Should I buy a pre-made bag or make my own? Can I get a list of a typical, good combination of materials?

I would really appreciate it guys.. :joint:

coco, perlite, vermiculite, most meals (bone, fish, crab, etc.), guano, compost, sphagnum peat moss (low amounts), dolomite lime, yucca extract.

those are things to look for in the soils... you generally want a light soil (more coco and perlite than peat moss)

I might actually go to a local hydro gardening store.. they have the entire line of fox farms products, from soils to nutrients. AWESOME!!

Or i can make my own for (possibly) cheaper..

if your using a line of Nutrients,,get some Pro-Mix HP,,it's soiless,,so you and your nutes are in total control,,I used soil on my first couple of grows and didn't really like it

If you have garden center that carries Master Nursery products (around here it's Capital Nursery) check them out. They offer some very nice organic soil mixes.
