I'm done with Dyna-Gro

Does Dyna-Gro make anything that doesn't precipitate over time?
First it was a bottle of Foliage Pro with chunks in the bottom. (Diluting with hot water did not fix it.)
And now I'm seeing what looks like fine white sand in my jug of Pro-tekt silica.
WTF???

Every container I've bought has some particulates, shake the container and you can hear it. As you see in my avatar, still works for me

It may not work as well if something has dropped out of solution and become unavailable.
I've seen the results of protekt going bad when cleaning pots and trays after a grow is finished. Lots of white powdery sand (silica) which the plant could not use.
I'm probably just going to water in some DE and call it good.

I've always wondered how they can have a 1 part hydroponic formula. I'm not hating on it or anything, but it's never made sense to me. I've always thought "won't it form precipitates? How do they stop it from doing that?".

It just makes sense to put calcium nitrate and Iron DTPA in one bottle and everything else in the other. (A + B)

That's their secret sauce! Pretty sure nobody has matched it. Floranova and PBP are very thick suspensions; they use mechanical separation to get everything into one bottle. Same deal with one part dry formulae.

I've been slowly working my way through a gallon of FoliagePro for a couple years now and I just checked the bottle and there is no freezing/precipitation.

One part dry formulas tend to develop moisture problems over time. That's why most dry ferts don't have any calcium.

I make my own protekt with potassium silicate and water for about $9/gallon. It has flecks in it too and feels slick to the touch just like the real stuff.

The freezing of the base nutes comes from storing/shipping their product in cold conditions. I shake the bottle at the hydro store before I buy it (only an 'issue' with their bloom formula). Even then I've been shipped bottles with chunks in the bottom that worked flawlessly. FWIW, the bottles of AN Connoisseur that I tested years ago had chunks in the bottom too. My GH 3-part in my garage has formed some chunks too but my veggies still rage like you wouldn't believe.

These are the cleanest nutrients I have ever used hands down! I started with GH then went to Advanced and canna then to age old outdoors in mendo. Now I use Hurricane Hydroponics and I harvest tomorrow but it looks like I will hit 3per light and I can not even tend to my canopy since it is wall to wall!

Hurricane Hydroponics is made by Dyna-gro? Sounds like someone is selling something.

Define "clean", as well as your process for comparing other nutrients.
I'm sure you took copious notes and have plenty of real data to share with us...

Well I have some notebooks of what I see in the rooms as well as what I do each watering. Also I don’t think it’s made by dyna grow. Like I said met these dudes at HighTimes in Michigan last year. They were telling their story and had some fire nugs for sale. That’s what really caught my attention. They were giving out sample runs, start to finish so of course I took them. I tried them on four plants and after that I switched night and day different. But hey it’s pretty easy to sit back and talk shit I hope your garden looks as good as
Mine that’s all take care buddy
